About Chars Consulting

Charleen Flintroy

Drug Rehab & Addiction Treatment Specialist · Founder of Redefining Wellness

Charleen founded Chars Consulting on a simple belief: healing happens when people feel truly seen. For too many, mental-health care has meant explaining, or defending, who they are before anyone will help.

With years of experience in addiction treatment and crisis intervention, she brings a compassionate, trauma-informed approach to every conversation, meeting people where they are and understanding the cultural and personal circumstances that shape each person's story. She is also the founder of Redefining Wellness, a non-profit dedicated to substance-abuse treatment and drug-addiction recovery.

Understanding your options

Free vs. private treatment centres

Both paths can lead to recovery. Knowing the difference helps you choose what's right for you.

Free & public options

  • No or low cost, covered publicly
  • Widely available across BC and Canada
  • Strong for detox, stabilization, and community support
  • Waitlists can be long
  • Less choice of program, setting, or timing

Private treatment centres

  • Faster or immediate admission
  • Individualized programs & amenities
  • More privacy and continuity of care
  • Significant out-of-pocket cost
  • Quality varies, so ask the right questions

Not sure which fits? We help you weigh the options with no pressure and no cost. Call 236-881-2600. Comparison informed by public treatment-navigation resources such as canadadrugrehab.ca.

We're here for you
